Judgment on Lama Lobzang

Case No. 37/2017: Ven. Lama Lobzang

ETHICAL JUDGMENT

Dear Prosecutor, Public Defender, Ambassador, Secretary and Jury Members of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee (IBEC) and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights (BTHR), regarding Case 37-2017 against “Ven. Lama Lobzang”, on December 30, 2017, it is hereby recorded that the trial of the Ethics Committee has been concluded to analyze the violation of Buddhist Ethics on the part of the accused.

After analyzing the presentation of the Case and the validation of the evidence, 8 members of the Jury have voted, confirming that there was 1 vote for “Insanity”, 1 vote for “Inocent” and 6 votes for “Responsible” to “Ven. Lama Lobzang” for the serious crime of Violation of Buddhist Law. When interpreting and giving voice to the vote of the Jury members, it is concluded that “Ven. Lama Lobzang” does not have any kind of excuse to commit a violation of Buddhist Law, because even if the Sangha of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) became regulated by the government of India this would not exonerate “Ven. Lama Lobzang” for keeping a genocidal criminal as a Spiritual Patron within the organization, and precisely this situation would not exonerate him because allowing such governmental intrusion would be in itself a new violation of Buddhist Law. In this sense, the defense advocated by the Public Defender, even without knowing it, is proof and acceptance of the charges for which “Ven. Lama Lobzang” is being accused, by justifying a Violation through another Violation against Ethics. In this way, this Judgment teaches “Ven. Lama Lobzang” that he should comply not only with the ethical precepts of Buddhist Spirituality, but also with the jurisprudence established by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee. The evidence of the case have shown that “Ven. Lama Lobzang” is within the framework of illegality after failing to comply with the sentences, notifications, requirements, resolutions and proclamations issued by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee. However, if “Ven. Lama Lobzang” would eventually apologize and remedy the damage caused, expelling Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (president of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of the Government of Myanmar) as Patron of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), then it would have come to a post-sentence reconciling agreement, eventually being possible to cancel all charges against the accused. Until this happens, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee declares that “Ven. Lama Lobzang” is Responsible for Violation of Buddhist Law.

On the other hand, it is put on record that the causes of this wrong behavior of “Ven. Lama Lobzang” are not only the fact of ignoring the recent International Buddhist Ethics Committee‘s Judgments, but also having failed to comply with the inspiring message of the World Association of Buddhism issued on July 25, 2013, when it was written to “Ven. Lama Lobzang” and the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) the following: “please always remember to practice Detachment, be poor in the outside and rich in the inside; The Noblest goal of Buddhist Spirituality must be to bring Enlightenment to all the peoples of the world. Two of the Maitriyana Commandments are: Only Spirituality can save the world, guiding people toward the Awakening and Liberation of materialism, and, Technological Development is not the Real Evolution. The True Evolution of Humanity can only proceed through the Spiritual Evolution of consciousness, transforming the mind and society through pacifism, social justice, wisdom and ecology. These are the four pillars of the Cure for the ills of the world that are war, poverty, ignorance and pollution.” For not having learned the art of humility and detachment, which is to maintain a pure and correct mind, “Ven. Lama Lobzang” has decided not to comply with the basic guidelines of Buddhist Law, ceasing to behave like a Master in order to incarnate the function of a politician.

After 2600 years of the unique system of civilization of Buddhist People, the Maitriyana acquires historical significance by developing International Buddhist Law as an ethical theory and practice that fully evolves the legal canons of the past. The fundamental direction of the Maitriyana vehicle is to realize in the here and now what is called Supreme Buddhism or Buddhism of the Future. Through the unique sagacity of active contemplation, compassionate wisdom and humanitarian ethics, the International Buddhist Law is positioned as a great countercultural movement of spiritual leadership, correcting and guiding humanity toward the splendor of a better world. When analyzing the history of spiritual communities (Sanghas) the Maitriyana becomes the movement that defends righteousness the most, containing the highest precepts to reach Peace, Justice, Truth and Cure, given that peak knowledges of all the main Awakened Ones (Buddhas) of history are preserved and honored. Indeed, the progressive development of this Supreme Buddhism has led to the creation of the Buddhist Convention of Human Rights within the framework of the Eighth Buddhist Council conducted by the United Buddhist Nations Organization, which is totally distinguished from any international Sangha, especially in comparison with the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), fully demonstrating that even without money and without governmental support the most extraordinary and revolutionary projects of the International Buddhist Law can be realized. Precisely, this independence and autonomy of the Maitriyana Community in relation to the States makes it have great ethical legitimacy, carrying out a style of teaching that emanates humility and genuineness in every act and word. However, the International Buddhist Law does not aim to simply preserve the purity of the Spiritual Commune (Sangha) by means of internal rules, but also seeks to build a Pure Earth or Kingdom of Righteousness in the world, which entails creating a superior ethical doctrine and practice. This contribution provides pacifist politics, socially just economy, free advanced culture and ecological health. Thus, the Maitriyana teaches that Supreme Buddhism is important and decisive for the survival and evolution of all humankind, otherwise civilization will disappear because of the evils of war, injustice, ignorance and pollution. In short, the International Buddhist Law follows the Purpose (Dharma) of the Free and Enlightened Being (Arhats-Bodhisattvas) to fight for the Salvation of all beings, since in each sentient being there resides potentially a dharmic nature that desires to emerge or to be liberated. Therefore, the Maitriyana not only shows absolute mercy toward all human beings, such as the Rohingya People victim of extermination by the Myanmar government, but also has mercy toward non-human beings, teaching that the search for individual liberation is nothing more than a limited and false pathway while it is not accompanied by the search for collective liberation. In this sense, the International Buddhist Law considers that making criticisms and judgments against injustice and impunity is a way of contributing to the Awakening (Bodhi) of others, teaching that Mindfulness, Peak Knowledge and Righteousness are essential for a free and enlightened life.

Maitriyana is a way of perceiving existence from the perspective of the Supreme Buddhism, so that it uses paradoxical dialectic logic to overcome and banish all kinds of contradictions or dualisms between different spiritual traditions. In accordance with the analysis of the Nirvana Sutra by Master Wonhyo, the Supreme or Perennial Buddhism synthesizes all the teachings of the Sutras, bringing together and reconciling all the currents into only one, which is the true non-dualistic meaning of the teaching of the Awakened Ones (Buddhas). The reconciliation of doctrinal controversies and harmonization of different expressions (hwajaeng hoet’ong) or the reconciliation of different interpretations (hwajaeng) is not an idea created by Master Wonhyo, but is the way to develop the paradoxical dialectic logic method to be able to have a correct understanding and decipher the true Sense of Spirituality. This syncretism and harmonization (hwahoe) is the clearest, most rational and truthful procedure in the methodological Purpose of understanding the One Way (Ekayana) of Master Gautama. The idea of reconciling and harmonizing different interpretations and teachings of Spirituality within a great unity is not a mere theoretical goal of the Supreme or Perennial Buddhism, but rather it is a pragmatic methodology, since the intention of this syncretism is to illuminate the true Purpose ( Dharma) of the teachings of Master Gautama, especially emphasizing that people should be taught not to venerate an Awakened Being (Buddha), and that instead they should be taught how to become an Awakened Being (Buddha). In this way, the task of International Buddhist Law is a historical and key guidance, because without ethics and rectitude there is no kind of Awakening (Bodhi) of True Self or Cure (Nirvana) from suffering. This is what differentiates the Maitriyana from all religions and philosophies, establishing its practical goal in the spiritual transformation of humanity and not in worshiping idols or in learning mere ideas, affirming that Supreme Buddhism requires the unification of the three Pathways of Active Contemplation, Compassionate Wisdom and Humanitarian Ethics to be able to lead all beings toward their dharmic nature or intrinsic dignity. It is not an exaggeration to state that the International Buddhist Law is positioned as a world ethical leader when supervising all the spiritual communities (sanghas) not to violate their internal precepts and also when supervising that all States do not violate human rights. The Maitriyana defends the wise and compassionate life with deep passion and unbreakable commitment, so that its historical significance is undeniable, only being able to be ignored by an ignorant and oppressive culture. In fact, the International Buddhist Law not only investigates and prosecutes those who do evil, but it is also a movement that works to do good and spiritually purify the entire humankind, proclaiming that a Dharmic Civilization with socialist libertarian characteristics should be inaugurated. Therefore, it implies a dialectical transcendence of the poles of savage capitalism and dictatorial communism. In accordance with Master Ikeda’s third civilization and Middle Path policy, the Maitriyana proposes the Dharmic Socialism and the International Buddhist Law as political and juridical tools to build a new civilization with spiritual, solidaristic and altruistic foundations, demonstrating the superiority possessed by the Mystic Law with respect to State and Interstate Law, and choosing the best elements of both. The Maitriyana is the most powerful spiritual force in the world, being the doctrine and practice that is most consistent and harmonious with the dharmic nature of human being, since the International Buddhist Law is an instrument to fulfill that universal goal of harmony, well-being, self-realization and self-transcendence. Even though a perfect society is not attempted to be created, which would be nothing more than a metaphysical illusion, the Maitriyana certainly seeks to create a healthy and awakened society, which is a real possibility and fully demonstrable by the Spiritual Communes (Sanghas) in the here and now. But for there to be free and enlightened societies, it is undoubtedly required that they be attentive, wise and compassionate communities, having ethics and altruism as their vital beacon. Without these good practices, communities and societies become perverted, sinking into greed, violence and deceit. Therefore, the International Buddhist Law cannot tolerate the existence of spiritual communities (sanghas) that fail to fulfill their function of being models of exemplary behavior, given that they would be contributing to the evils that are supposed to eliminate. Through non-violence and law the Maitriyana confronts contemporary materialistic civilization that is pathologically obsessed with technological and scientific development. Thus, the Free and Enlightened Beings (Arhats-Bodhisattvas) guide humanity toward the construction of a spiritual civilization in the present. Indeed, the spiritual communities (sanghas) are the seeds of that libertarian socialist civilization of the future, so these special communities deserve to be protected, not allowing to be contaminated by unhealthy and illegal elements. Undoubtedly, it is important that spiritual communities (sanghas) practice contemplation and wisdom, but spiritual masters such as Gautama have taught that without ethics every community is doomed to self-destruction. Materialist civilization is currently destroying humanity and nature through war, poverty, ignorance and pollution, so it is fundamental that the International Buddhist Law ensures the survival of the world and guides the people toward the Cure (Nirvana) of psychic and social suffering. Humanity is asleep and sick, so it needs spiritual masters to show the way toward Awakening (Bodhi) and Cure (Nirvana), teaching the adequate revolution in the internal and external world, instead of contributing to the status quo of systematic and widespread violation of human rights. The Maitriyana, in an illuminative way, states that outside the Ethics there is no Truth or Purpose (Dharma).

In conclusion, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has the Purpose (Dharma) that Buddhist Spirituality remains pure and is never perverted or infiltrated by corrupt, murderers, rapists, torturers and genocidal people, having the duty to denounce and expel anyone who commits such serious crimes and impunity. Therefore, it is established that “Ven. Lama Lobzang” is violating the Buddhist Law through the revalidation of the figure of Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (President of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar), who is responsible for participating in acts of Genocide and Crimes against Humanity among several other serious crimes. Undoubtedly, each spiritual commune (Sangha) has the right to decide who its members and Patrons are, but simultaneously they have the duty not to violate the Buddhist Law and the ethical precepts. In this way, the Case on “Ven. Lama Lobzang” is a great lesson for the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) not to support criminals and remain free and independent from governmental control, as has happened with the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of the genocidal government of Myanmar, when governmental control is exerted over the spiritual commune (Sangha) the purity and dignity of Spirituality is always perverted and destroyed through Violations of Buddhist Law.

Following the Path of Master Gautama Buddha, who two thousand six hundred years ago created and developed an exemplary spiritual commune (Sangha) that immediately resolved all kinds of violations of righteousness, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee oversees that the spiritual communities (Sanghas) across the world do not attack or betray the purity of Spirituality, that is the reason why “Ven. Lama Lobzang” has been sentenced as Responsible for VIOLATION OF BUDDHIST LAW.

With spirit of reconciliation (maitri),

Master Maitreya Samyaksambuddha

President and Spiritual Judge of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee (IBEC) & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights (BTHR)

Evidence 1: NOTIFICATION TO International Buddhist Confederation (IBC)

Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights:Case No. 18/2016: State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC – Ma Ha Na). On July 29, 2017, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights is communicating with Lama Lobzang Secretary General of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) following the news that Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar) is an IBC “Patron” member, being recognized by the IBC with the rank of “His Holiness”.  In the face of this terrible news, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights informed the IBC that on August 23, 2016 the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar was sentenced for the serious crimes of FALSE BUDDHISM And VIOLATION OF THE BUDDHIST LEGAL CODE (VINAYA), OPPRESSION AND ILLEGAL DETENTIONS AGAINST BUDDHIST SANGHA, COMPLICITY WITH DISCRIMINATION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN, VIOLATION OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS AND TRIBAL PEOPLES, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND PEACE, COMPLICITY WITH GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING.  Faced with this situation, Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa clearly has no ethical legitimacy to become a Patron Member of the IBC, which is why we officially request a response by Secretary General Lama Lobzang within the next 7 days to the Buddhist Tribunal and urgently initiate a Formal procedure in order to expel Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, otherwise the IBC would be endorsing these crimes committed by the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar, which would be disastrous for the spiritual legitimacy of Buddhism at a global level. In case Secretary-General Lama Lobzang decides to ignore the Notification made by the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights, it will be considered an act of Complicity with the crimes committed by Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, being a clear Violation of Buddhist Law. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights requests the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) all necessary support in this matter linked not only to violations of the Buddhist Ethics of the Sangha but also linked to violations of International Human Rights Law.”

Evidence 2: Legal Requirement to Spiritual Patrons of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC)

Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights:Case No. 18/2016: State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC – Ma Ha Na). August 5th, 2017. Dear His Holiness the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso, His Holiness Thich Pho Tue, His Holiness Master Jinje & His Holiness Sanghanayaka Sudhananda Mahathero, As a result of the lack of response by Lama Lobzang, Secretary General of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), to a formal Notification dated July 29, 2017 where he is requested to initiate a process of expulsion of the IBC Patron named “Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa” (Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar), we inform Their Holinesses the terrible situation of violation of Buddhist Law that is being committed by the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC). The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights requests the immediate suspension and expulsion of the Patron “Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa” because this individual has been involved in genocidal activities and Crimes against Humanity in Myanmar, which constitutes not only a violation of Buddhist Law but also the worst violation of International Human Rights Law. Indeed, the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar was previously sentenced in 2016 as Responsible for the serious crimes of FALSE BUDDHISM and VIOLATION OF THE BUDDHIST LEGAL CODE (VINAYA), OPPRESSION and ILLEGAL DETENTIONS AGAINST BUDDHIST SANGHA, COMPLICITY WITH DISCRIMINATION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN, VIOLATION OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS AND TRIBAL PEOPLES, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND PEACE, COMPLICITY WITH GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING.  Maintaining criminals within the Buddhist Community (Sangha) is an attack on the sacredness of the Spirituality founded by Siddhartha Gautama Buddha 2600 years ago. Therefore, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights requests Their Holinesses to require Lama Lobzang to urgently initiate the suspension and subsequent expulsion of the Patron named “Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa “(Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar), since this individual does not deserve to be a member nor a Patron of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC). In case the Lama Lobzang continues to fail in his functions to maintain ethical and moral purity of the Great Buddhist Commune (Maha-Sangha), then we will be obliged to be faithful to Truth and Justice by ruling the Complicity of Lama Lobzang with violations of Buddhist Law and Human Dignity. Since you are Patrons of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC), we urge Their Holinesses to advise Lama Lobzang to behave properly, following the most appropriate and correct standards of Buddhist Spirituality, which should never be involved in genocidal acts and international crimes violating Human Rights.”

Evidence 3: Resolution on Lama Lobzang – Secretary General of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC)

Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights:Case No. 18/2016: State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC – Ma Ha Na). Sunday 13 August 2017. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights,  Recalling the principles of Buddhist Law, human rights and fundamental freedoms established by international instruments, such as the Buddhist Legal Code (Vinaya) adopted by the spiritual commune (Sangha), the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the UN, and Universal Declaration on the Rights of Buddhist Peoples and Spiritual Communities adopted by the United Buddhist Nations Organization (UBNO); Whereas such rights and freedoms include political, economic, cultural and environmental rights, among which religious liberty and the supreme human right to peace are found; Aware that the Buddhist Nation possesses a spiritual distinction with regard to the rest of the international community, and this is not due to racial issues but to the possession of a higher ethic and a mission of Liberation of all beings that it should never be violated; Reaffirming the Sentences of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights in the Case Ashin Wirathu, the Case Myanmar and the Case of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee;  Deeply concerned about the systematic and widespread situation of human rights violations occurring in Myanmar through military regimes and democratic governments that persecute the Rohingya People, subjecting hundreds of thousands of people to an oppressive situation of Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing and Crimes against humanity, as demonstrated in the jurisprudence of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights; Deploring that this terrible situation of violation of human rights in Myanmar is supported by corrupt bhikkhus grouped in the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee (SSMNC – Ma Ha Na), who have been sentenced for the serious crimes of FALSE BUDDHISM and VIOLATION OF BUDDHIST CODE (VINAYA), OPPRESSION AND ILLEGAL DETENTIONS AGAINST BUDDHIST SANGHA, COMPLICITY WITH DISCRIMINATION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AND CHILDREN, VIOLATION OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS AND TRIBAL PEOPLES, CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND PEACE, COMPLICITY WITH GENOCIDE AND ETHNIC CLEANSING; Taking into consideration that the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) has Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar) as its Spiritual Patron, and that the IBC has not responded to the legal requirements and notifications produced by the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights where it is urgently requested the expulsion of Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa; Examining that the intent of Lama Lobzang Secretary General of the IBC to ignore this serious violation of human rights, as IBC Spiritual Patrons were previously advised, constitutes an act of Complicity with violations of Buddhist Law, since the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar has participated in the worst crimes that can be committed in Buddhist Law: murder (manussaviggaha), which is a reason for immediate expulsion within the Buddhist Commune (Sangha); Bearing in mind that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights initiated a legal case against the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL, since this institution gave a Peace Prize to Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, which would constitute a possible Act of Complicity with Crimes against Peace; Expressing concern at the fact that this criminal False Buddhism propagated in Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand, which conveys fascist visions and contrary to the pacifist principles taught by Gautama, is being supported by one of the most important organizations of Buddhism around the world, as is the IBC, which constitutes a Violation of Buddhist Law by Lama Lobzang; States that the Buddhist Spirituality is the first movement in the history of humanity that regulated the practice and theory of the human rights as a defense of the intrinsic dignity or dharmic nature of beings. Recommends that IBC not to depend on government funds, since it corrupts the independence of the spiritual commune (sangha) and links it to corrupt political interests. Calls on the IBC to immediately cancel the condition of Spiritual Patron held by Dr. Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar), also requesting that it ceases to be called with the rank of “His Holiness” to someone who has participated in the most terrible crimes of International Law. Solemnly stipulates that any kind of violence in the realm of thought, word or acts is completely contrary to Buddhist Law, so that both criminals who commit these acts as well as those who are accomplices and endorse these immoral and illegal behaviors will be punished. Expresses that any spiritual recognition to whatsoever Peace Prize delivered to Dr Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa is illegal and immoral. Declares that the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee of Myanmar must be immediately closed for having participated directly or indirectly in Genocide, Crimes against Humanity and Crimes against Peace, having the duty to create a new organization that is not an accomplice of the human rights violations committed by the government of Myanmar, thus providing justice and purity to both people and the governors. Calls upon all the members of the Buddhist International Community (Maha-Sangha) not to abandon the Path of Righteousness, Detachment and Compassionate Wisdom developed by Gautama two thousand six hundred years ago.”

Evidence 4: Proclamation on Dhamma Vansanurakhitta Association – Buddha Dhamma Charity Foundation

Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights:CASE 01-2015: Ashin Wirathu. November 13, 2017. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights, Considering that in Case 01-2015 the International Buddhist Ethics Committee sentenced Ashin Wirathu and the 969 Movement for the crimes of Discrimination, Social Segregation, Apology of Violence and False Buddhism; Recalling that due to international pressure the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee superficially sanctioned the 969 Movement, only generating that this Islamophobic group changed its name to Ma Ba Tha (Organization for the Protection of Nationalism and Religion); Aware that Ma Ba Tha and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee have actively assisted and collaborated with the Myanmar military regime led by former de facto President Thein Sein, actively supporting the Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing and Crimes against humanity against the Rohingya People; Deeply concerned because Myanmar’s new civil-military government led by de facto president Aung San Suu Kyi is worsening and continuing the genocidal policies against the Rohingya people in the eyes of the entire world, carrying out High Crimes against Peace; Deploring the fact that de facto president Aung San Suu Kyi carries out acts of Negationism, not only affirming that there is no kind of genocide, but also accusing the Rohingya people of terrorism; Analyzing that even the UN, through the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), has denounced terrible human rights violations committed by the government of Myanmar against the defenseless civilian population, such as torture, mass sexual abuses, forced disappearances and extrajudicial executions of children and babies, all of which is considered by Aung San Suu Kyi as fake news; Taking into consideration that the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee presided over by Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa was sentenced for False Buddhism and Violation of the Buddhist Legal Code, Oppression and Illegal Detentions against the Buddhist Sangha, Complicity with Discrimination, Violation of the rights of women and children, Violation of freedom of expression, Violation of the rights of indigenous and tribal peoples, Crimes against Humanity and Peace, and Complicity with Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing; Examining that Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee has received a Peace Prize from the criminal organization called WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC), reason why the institution has been sentenced for the charges of Complicity with Crimes against Peace, Complicity with Violations of Buddhist Cultural Heritage, Defamation, Discrimination and Ethnocentrism, Threats and Violation of Human Rights, Corruption, Fraud and Organized Crime and Complicity with Genocide and Islamophobia; Bearing in mind that Lama Lobzang of the International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) has been asked to remove the status of Patron to Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa and to expel this individual for his international crimes, something that has been disobeyed by Lama Lobzang despite the warning that this would imply a violation of Buddhist Law; Expressing consternation at the fact that the extermination plan against the Rohingya People is still happening, with thousands of children and women killed, while the international community has not yet demanded Aung San Suu Kyi to stop her international crimes; Reaffirming the critique against the genocidal role of Buddhist Bhikkhus controlled by the government of Myanmar, among whom one can find Ashin Wirathu and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee presided over by Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, being preachers of hatred, apartheid and genocide; Confirming the fact that due to the Judgment of the Buddhist Tribunal, the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee has banned the Ma Ba Tha group, although it has not banned its Islamophobic ideology, which is why Ma Ba Tha continues to exist under the name of the Dhamma Vansanurakhitta Association or Buddha Dhamma Charity Foundation; It is expressed absolute solidarity with the millions of innocent lives of the Rohingya People that are being systematically and widespreadly annihilated by the illegal government of Myanmar, being persecuted, stigmatized, discriminated, dehumanized, violated, segregated, raped and exterminated in a way as evil as the Holocaust carried out by Nazi regime. It is stated that the Dhamma Vansanurakhitta Association or Buddha Dhamma Charity Foundation is responsible for Complicity with Genocide, Ethnic Cleansing and Crimes against Humanity, and Violation of the Buddhist Law and Human Rights. It is declared that Lama Lobzang will be judged for Violation of Buddhist Law. It is manifested that people like Ashin Wirathu, who exist in Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Thailand, are destroying Buddhism through character assassination, attacking the intrinsic dignity of Spirituality. This Ethical Proclamation is invoked as an act of justice in the face of violations of Buddhist Law and Human Rights carried out by Ashin Wirathu, the State of Myanmar and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee. It is recalled once again that the Buddhist Path is the Salvation of humanity and of the world through spiritual love.”

Official Statement to Jun Po Denis Kelly

Case No. 31-2017: Ken Wilber

Official Statement to Jun Po Denis Kelly

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee, on February 7, 2018, decides to reaffirm once again that all organizations endorsing Ken Wilber’s  fraudulent teachings will be practizing a False Buddhism and a False Spirituality in the eyes of Buddhist Law, betraying the Fundamental teachings of Master Gautama, since Ken Wilber has been judged for Academic Dishonesty, Spiritual Scam and False Buddhism, Violation of Buddhist Law, Crime against Buddhist Cultural Heritage and Violation of Human Rights. In this sense, with regard to the organization called “Integral Zen”, which publicly claims to be a Zen lineage that follows Wilber’s teachings, it is confirmed that a False Zen would actually be practiced, since as has been demonstrated during the Wilber Case, this writer conveys anti-Buddhist and anti-Zen ideas, transmitting a heresy and a betrayal of the fundamental principles of Buddhist Spirituality.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee also confirms that the alleged Lineage of “Integral Zen” would have fraudulent biases that must be immediately solved, not only for incorporating Wilber‘s fraudulent teachings, but also because Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi, the leader of “Integral Zen“, says that he has received the Dharma transmission in an uninterrupted line that goes back to Siddharta Gautama himself. Beyond the fact that historically and philosophically one can doubt the uninterruption of the Zen lineages that go back to Gautama Buddha, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee considers that such an affirmation on the part of the “Integral Zen” is fraudulent for different possible reasons:

  1. Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi‘s Master was Jun Po Denis Kelly, who renounced his Zen lineage due to a conflict with his Master named Eido Shimano, which is something that shows a clear interruption in the line.
  2. Two decades later, Master Eido Shimano has had to resign due to public allegations of sexual misconduct, which is a clear interruption in the line, in addition to delegitimizing any Dharma transmission that he may have previously granted, since this lack of ethics corrupts deeply his Zen lineage.
  • On the other hand, there are public testimonies coming from Sanghas of Japan manifesting that Master Eido Shimano has not finished his training process, and therefore, he would not have received the Dharma transmission, which would definitively destroy all possible legitimacy on the part of his Zen lineage.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee confirms that if the “Integral Zen” lineage wishes to be legitimate, it should not only abandon Ken Wilber’s anti-Buddhist teachings that support criminal and insane gurus, but it should also abandon the fraudulent claim to go back in time without interruption to Siddhartha Gautama, besides the fact that they should definitely renounce being Dharma heirs of someone whose ethical and spiritual legitimacy has been invalidated: Master Eido Shimano‘s.

Finally, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee confirms that it will initiate an international legal investigation into Eido Shimano‘s misbehavior, which could even lead to the annulment of his alleged title of Roshi.

Always with spirit of reconciliation (maitri),

Master Maitreya Samyaksambuddha

President and Spiritual Judge of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights

NOTIFICATION to Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi

Case No. 31/2017: Ken Wilber

NOTIFICATION to Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi

On February 6, 2018, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights is communicating with Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi, as a result of the Judgment that has been made against Ken Wilber for the crimes of Academic Dishonesty, Spiritual Scam and False Buddhism, Violation of Buddhist Law, Crime against Buddhist Cultural Heritage and Violation of Human Rights, which was sentenced for the fraudulent teachings of this writer. Although Ken Wilber has committed numerous violations of the Buddhist Ethics, he seems to be receiving public support from Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi, which is an act of complicity that must be immediately cancelled.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights clearly considers that Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi is violating the sacredness of Buddhist Spirituality by publicly stating that Ken Wilber is the perfect one, is unique and brilliant without parallel, all of which is a total offense against Buddhism, since this individual is a fraud, not only for resorting to plagiarism but also because for decades he has transmitted ideas that totally misinterpret Buddhism and Meditation, even endorsing gurus that are sexual abusers, violent, insane and corrupt. In addition, Ken Wilber not only shows pathological character traits of narcissism and sectarianism, but also transmits a pseudo-spiritual and pseudo-scientific system along with an ethnocentric and right-wing political system. Obviously, all these traits and ideas of Ken Wilber are a profound violation of the Bodhisattva ideal. Even, Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi has come to lie openly when saying that Wilber has 50 years of experience in Zen and Vajrayana. Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi has even said not only that Wilber is one of his great teachers, but also that his own Zen Master, Jun Po Denis Kelly, has not recovered from narcissistic tendencies, which is tantamount to confessing that he has not fully awakened, unconsciously invalidating his own Zen lineage, which is a school that comes from Eido Shimano Roshi, who has had multiple complaints of sexual abuse for several years.

Ergo, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights requests Doshin Michael Nelson Roshi to immediately stop supporting Ken Wilber, this being an act of complicity with immoral ideas that undermine the dignity of Buddhism.

Legal Act on Adidam

Case No. 31/2017: Ken Wilber

ACT ON Adidam

On October 25, 2017, an International Act of Repudiation is performed toward the Adidam sect founded by Franklin Jones (Adi Da), because of the fact that in the evidence analyzed by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee it has been possible to verify terrible crimes carried out by Franklin Jones and which have been covered up by his sect. It has been possible to analyze the fact that Franklin Jones deceived his disciples by making them to believe that he was a spiritual master even superior to Siddhartha Gautama and Jesus of Nazareth. After this psychical manipulation and brainwashing, Franklin Jones (Adi Da) has systematically carried out terrible criminal activities, such as sexual violations, scams, torture, drug consumption, kidnapping, violence, robbery and psychical abuse.

Therefore, it is confirmed that the Adidam sect that venerates Franklin Jones (Adi Da) as an Avatar or Supreme Spiritual Master constitutes an illegal organization dedicated to Spiritual Fraud. In the event that the Adidam sect were to decide to stop venerating Franklin Jones (Adi Da), who is considered as a criminal, ceasing to be an accomplice of his crimes, then this group may become a genuine Spiritual Community (Sangha). Until that happens, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee declares the Adidam sect as a criminal organization dedicated to Spiritual Fraud and False Buddhism.

Always with spirit of reconciliation (maitri),

Master Maitreya Samyaksambuddha

Judgment on Ken Wilber

Case No. 31/2017: Ken Wilber

ETHICAL JUDGMENT

Dear Prosecutor, Public Defender, Ambassador and Jury Members of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee (IBEC) and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights (BTHR), regarding the Case 31-2017 against “Ken Wilber”, on September 19, 2017, it is hereby recorded that the trial of the Ethics Committee has been concluded to analyze the violation of Buddhist Ethics and Human Rights perpetrated by the accused. This Case has been carried out based on the legal implications of the Universal Declaration on Buddhism as Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

After the analysis of the presentation of the Case and the validation of an enormous amount of evidence, it has proceeded with the voting of 8 members of the Jury, who have judged “Ken Wilber” as Responsible for the serious crimes of Academic Dishonesty, Spiritual Scam and False Buddhism, Violation of Buddhist Law, Crime against Buddhist Cultural Heritage and Violation of Human Rights.

In the first part of the Evidence of the Case, it has been analyzed the fact that Wilber illegitimately presents himself as the creator of Purna (Integral) Buddhism, or at least he generates the illusion of being it, which is a fraudulent act that may be considered as theft (adinnadana) by the Buddhist Legal Code (Vinaya), cheating those who buy his books by presenting a false spiritual vision that manipulates the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Buddhism and violating the Buddhist Law and the collective rights of the Spiritual Commune (Sangha), which constitutes a violation of International Human Rights Law.  Plagiarism would be demonstrated by the misappropriation of Purna (Integral) Buddhism, publishing this idea as if it were the creation of his own original work. This practice of academic dishonesty is considered a very serious immoral offense, even deserving the penalty of expulsion in certain fields, such as associations, companies and educational institutions. Even though plagiarism in itself is not penalized by Criminal and Civil Law, certainly the use of ideas from others in order to gain economic revenue may constitute the definition of fraud. While within academic circles plagiarism involves academic fraud, in the same way, in Buddhist fields plagiarism involves spiritual fraud, both fields sharing the creation of internal disciplinary committees where the act of expulsion is often considered as an adequate punishment in addressing this immoral behavior that makes the responsible person loses all credibility and integrity.

In the Vinaya Pitaka, theft (adinnadana) is considered one of the most serious crimes of the Buddhist Legal Code along with murder (manussaviggaha) and self-adjudication of paranormal powers (uttarimanussadhamma). In addition, the Sutta Pitaka prohibits not only the act of theft (adinnadana), but also other acts committed by the accused, such as lying (musavada), intemperance (surameraya), slanderous speech (pisunavaca), discourteous discourse (pharusavaca) and false heretical visions (Micchaditthi) such as those of the eternalism (sassatavada). Buddhist Spirituality also condemns the fact to consider misunderstandings and erroneous practices as Truth, which is something that Ken Wilber constantly makes, according to the evidences.

Accordingly, as developed by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee in the second part of the Case, even if Wilber was the legitimate creator of the Purna (Integral) Buddhist model before than the Maitriyana, even faced with this remote possibility, all Charges for which he is accused can be adequately demonstrated by examining his thinking, word and conduct, allowing to evaluate whether Wilber has academic, ethical, and spiritual legitimacy to pose a new pathway of Buddhism. In this sense, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has objectively demonstrated that throughout his life Wilber has violated the Buddhist precepts, conveying a wrong vision of Buddhism and an erroneous vision of Meditation. It has been shown that throughout his entire life Wilber has trained with and provided spiritual support to various spiritual teachers who showed abusive, psychopathological, discriminatory and criminal behavior. It has been shown that throughout his life Wilber has transmitted an inadequate or incorrect kind of Spirituality, simultaneously developing a system of dishonest academic thought with traits of pseudo-religion, pseudo-science and pseudo-philosophy. It has been demonstrated that throughout his entire life Wilber has not only maintained right-wing political ideology, but he also had defended ethnocentric ideas, the latter being a clear violation of human rights. In addition, it has been correctly proved that the motive or the root cause of this misbehavior on the part of Wilber is a narcissistic personality that is prone to sectarianism, perfectly explaining his need to manipulate Buddhist Spirituality for his own selfish purposes.

By carefully analyzing the public works of the accused, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has found that Wilber totally lacks knowledge of Buddhist Spirituality, to which he mistakenly considers as a religion and cult. During his Spiritual Path, Wilber has violated the five essential ethical precepts of Buddhism, resorting to physical and verbal violence, he has consumed alcohol, has stolen and commercialized concepts, has maintained inappropriate sexual behaviors, has lied about his spiritual status, and also about the sources of his philosophical visions. The wrong understanding about Buddhism of the accused is of immense proportions, since he has come to claim that, in comparison with a modern sage, Siddhartha Gautama was half enlightened, even claiming that Gautama did not fully realize the non-duality of Nagarjuna, which demonstrates a level of disrespect and deep ignorance about Buddhist Philosophy. In introducing his alleged new vision, Wilber not only ignores that Buddhism has already had its own systems of justice and medicine for thousands of years, but he also manipulates Gautama’s spiritual tradition by stating that Buddhism should be linked to the world of business and money in industrialized society, because according to Wilber, in case of maintaining an attitude of detachment toward money, then Buddhism would be hypocritical, pathetic, retarded, regressive, low-cost and obscene. This antispiritual aberration is nothing more than a capitalist manipulation against the Buddhist Spirituality, trying to pervert it by means of immoral and superficial ideas. Wilber not only perverts Buddhism by introducing a totally anti-Buddhist concept, which is the project of the soul in union with God, but he also says that the Spirit existed before the Big Bang, appealing to the most vulgar, pseudo-scientific and deceitful kind of metaphysics that exists, for as the Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso has stated, Buddhism criticizes all kinds of vision about an eternal transcendent being, soul or fundamental substrate of reality. Wilber not only violates Buddhist Spirituality by introducing eternalist, substantialist, and theistic traits, but also disqualifies the best thinkers of the world – within whom Gautama is found – who do not postulate such transcendent Spirit. Wilber not only insults Zen when considering it as a weak and incomplete system, but he also states that meditation can worsen a psychopathology and that therapy would be much better, which demonstrates the profound ignorance he has on Buddhist Psychology, even going so far as to say in a completely delusional way that those who meditate and simultaneously lift weights progress more than those who only meditate, stating that the contemporary technologies of the brain allow the subject to be able to enter deep meditative states in just minutes. Wilber not only creates maps of Buddhist spiritual traditions that he did not study properly, but he also states that Buddhist meditation does not allow to see the patterns of his model, so according to the accused, Buddhism is full of invisible pathologies that promote narcissism, which is a statement that demonstrates that Wilber creates a distorted and commercial vision, developing a corrupt and dishonest Pseudo-Spirituality that conveys deceit and ignorance instead of Truth and Liberation. Wilber not only manifests that Buddhist meditation is incomplete and that his method of meditation is the only integrative form of contemplation, but also says that meditation causes the human being to grow in God, which demonstrates that his methods are closer to commercial self-help than to Buddhism. Wilber not only lies by saying that Buddhists have performed terrorist acts with sarin gas in Japan, but also in his presentation of Purna (Integral) Buddhism, Wilber states that Adi Da was an example of a postmodern master, even though this false spiritual master has been charged with terrible criminal activities such as repeated sexual assault, brainwashing, scamming, torture, drug addiction, kidnapping, violence, theft, psychic abuse and psychosis. Wilber has come to claim that the criminal Adi Da knows more about Buddhism than the very Gautama, characterizing such criminal as a religious hero and a supreme enlightened spiritual master, which shows Wilber‘s participation in this damaging cult as a disciple of this false spiritual teacher. Wilber has not only criticized Adi Da for his isolation, but has also explicitly and publicly endorsed the extreme violent methods of Andrew Cohen, who is another false spiritual teacher with authoritarian and sectarian tendencies that fosters a cult of personality. Wilber not only censors or insults most of the critics of his works and borrows ideas from other authors without recognizing them the credit, but also has created a cult group to his personality where rational autonomy and critical thinking are set aside, following the same sectarian behavior than Adi Da and Andrew Cohen. Wilber not only manifests that Aurobindo and Nityananda were enlightened sages, although they had clearly psychotic behaviors, but also he presents a totally delirious and childish scheme that classifies reality into a hierarchy of colors, proving that his theories are neither scientific nor philosophical. Wilber not only separates Spirituality from ethical development, which gives rise to debauchery and abuses, but also his own model of Spirituality confuses the maps of reality with the territories or experiences of the Real. Wilber not only says that God is behind everything that happens in the Cosmos, even behind the results of democratic elections, but he also develops dogmatic, deceitful, elitist, reductionist and intolerant ideas. Wilber not only teaches an egocentric and narcissistic pseudo-philosophy, but also constantly transmits errors, lies, deceptions, inaccuracies, manipulations, circular logics and irrational arguments, violently reacting to corrections and intellectual debate. Wilber not only discredits and misinterprets theories through academic dishonesty, criticizing disciplines without being appropriately studied them, in addition to taking advantage of the naivety and ignorance of his followers by creating false eclectic syntheses, but he also constantly falsifies or fabricates scientific data that were never made, which is considered one of the worst acts of academic dishonesty. Wilber catalogs his critics as inferior, although they have already refuted almost all his theories, thus violating the procedures of scientific method and philosophical debate. Wilber not only supports negationism of global warming, which states that climate change is a conspiracy of scientists, but he also produces a total abandonment of science by supporting a creationist vision in which the evolution of Universe is driven by a Spirit or God, ignoring the fact that the contemporary theory of Multiverse has destroyed any kind of creationist argument. Wilber not only does not convey a superior reason, but is also part of a movement of metaphysical and pseudoscientific irrationality with less knowledge than a high school child, proving that the motivations behind his books are commercial, dishonest and lacking in integrity. Wilber not only considers in an Eurocentric way that Western technological societies are superior to agrarian societies, but also has a fascist vision with respect to native tribal peoples, to whom he denies access to the highest levels of reason and Spirituality, being an idea that violates the International Law for being used frequently in the exterminations and ethnic cleansings that occurred in history. Wilber has a right-wing political vision and very close to the North American imperialist capitalism, supporting leaders such as Tony Blair even though they participated in genocides and war crimes in Afghanistan and Iraq.

All this bad behavior and manipulation of the Buddhist Spirituality that Wilber makes intentionally distorts and partially destroys the integrity of the Buddhist Peoples’ cultural tradition, which constitutes a violation of cultural human rights, as it is expressed in International Law conventions. As has been developed in the jurisprudence of the Case Yoga Beer, the attitude of cultural colonialism against indigenous peoples that destroys their values, knowledge and traditions constitutes a violation of human dignity or Buddha-nature. Since conservation, promotion, protection and development of the tangible or intangible cultural heritage is one of the supreme human rights, Wilber‘s actions are totally condemnable in the light of the juridical systems of Buddhism and also to the International Law.

Following the Buddhist Legal Code (Vinaya), the International Buddhist Ethics Committee makes an act of disapproval (Tajjaniyakamma) against Ken Wilber for creating unnecessary disputes and conflicts, for having immoral habits and not practicing good habits, for not having righteous visions and despising the Buddha-Dharma-Sangha, so it is sanctioned that the accused should refrain from teaching or giving spiritual guidance to others indefinitely, much less giving commandments to others or establishing himself as spiritual authority.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee considers that the root of all this bad behavior is that Wilber not only reveals pathological traits of narcissism, hysteria, sarcasm, arrogance, fear, anger, egocentrism, defensiveness, vulgarity, immaturity, paranoia and authoritarianism, but in addition he promotes a corrupt and commercial vision of Buddhist Spirituality, believing to be enlightened when in fact he evidences traits of an advanced narcissistic disorder. In the present case, it has been perceived that Ken Wilber has the psychic characteristics corresponding to narcissism disorders, which by their intensity, frequency and reiteration cannot be considered merely as errors, but as patterns that are a product of an extreme individualism that go against the traditions of the Spiritual Commune (Sangha). The fact that a thinker is obsessed with staying young and strong is already something of a frivolous and superficial mind attached to the culture of image. However, the real problem of narcissistic omnipotence is that it achieves imaginary satisfactions, which produces the real effect of failing to adequately respond to the stimuli of life in terms of stages or evolutionary needs of the human being, since every object and subject that does not match with that satisfaction or imaginary completeness is considered as an enemy by the narcissistic subject. From the International Buddhist Ethics Committee‘s perspective, Wilber‘s narcissistic disorder is due to a fixation or attachment to a phase of child development that was not adequately overcome, which corresponds to a structural pathology in which the child internalizes objects that fail to fulfill the adequate function of Self. This narcissistic disorder is characterized by inhibition of empathy, disinhibition of anger and pathological lying, activating a glorious, omnipotent and childlike image of self in order to unconsciously attempt to construct the missing aspects of a healthy psychic structure. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee states that Wilber suffers from pathological narcissism for being excessively self-centered, which distorts both external relations with others, by responding defensively to them, as well as distorts inner ambitions by making them disproportionate and grandiose, having an exaggerated dependence on the admiration and homage coming from others. Another characteristic feature of this pathological disorder suffered by the accused is the inability to learn along with the chronic experience of loneliness not shared with others, which is expressed through the illusory feeling of being alone on top of the world. Using the most basic knowledge on clinical psychopathology, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee reveals that Ken Wilber‘s narcissistic personality disorder is clearly evident in the fact that he experiences a huge sense of self-importance, exaggerating his achievements and abilities by waiting to be recognized as a higher being; Narcissism makes Wilber to feel like a being with a unique and special status that can only be understood by an elite of people, being attached to fantasies of success and unlimited power where he is recognized by his brilliance; Narcissism causes Wilber to demand excessive attention or admiration, being pretentious and lacking empathy; Narcissism causes Wilber to envy others, and also that he believes that others envy him, showing arrogant behavior and proud attitudes, in addition to react to criticism with rage or humiliation. This means that the psychic disorder suffered by the accused not only drives him to exaggerate his achievements, but also to the underestimation of the achievements of others, possessing a self-esteem so vulnerable and involuted that makes him feel that criticisms are an outrage. For this reason, the narcissism disorder often leads to social withdrawal, making the accused to feel his vanity and self-admiration are a self-sufficient way of existing, although this individualistic and selfish bubble lacks enriching bonds with others, which are often eluded by fear frustration or anguish they may provoke, which would make that Wilber questions the omnipotence he feels. Narcissistic personality disorder is evidenced in Wilber by a pattern of illusory grandiosity in thought, word, and behavior, having a level of need for admiration and attention that is not in line with adult life. When he believes himself to be superior to others, the accused demands special treatment and attacks others when he does not receive it, especially seeking to discredit the persons who overshadow him, since narcissistic disorder implies a strong self-esteem that simultaneously hides true deficient self-esteem. Although the narcissistic personality disorder causes the accused to be very intelligent and usually manipulating people so that they believe he is right, this disorder also drives him to feel that he always has answers and expert knowledge in all subjects, although he does not really know the discipline in question, which is obviously a weakness that leave him vulnerable in the face of critical knowledge of genuine scholars. Thus, Wilber often defends himself from critics by means of a very simple narcissistic defensive mechanism, by arguing that the others are one or several steps below him, which is a huge lack of empathy showing an underdevelopment of mirror neurons, which are those in charge of putting in the place of the others. Suffering from a narcissistic personality disorder is not only regrettable but also contrary to Buddhist Spirituality, because it is a constant yearning for fantasies of fame and brilliance that will never materialize. Because the accused suffers from narcissistic disorder, he probably does not attend any kind of therapeutic practice, because this disorder makes the individual feel as if he has not flaw or void at all, perceiving that the world and not he himself is the one who is wrong. In this way, the narcissistic personality disorder is one of the most challenging or almost intractable pathologies of psychology, maintaining a structural inability to depend on therapeutic help, as this type of disorder makes the individual feel that seeking help is an unbearable humiliation. There is, however, the possibility that in the future Wilber may experience improvement and even Cure, which depends on decreasing envy and contempt for others, developing altruism and mature capacities of wisdom and compassion. From the perspective of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, the psychic structure of the accused corresponds to an archaic and primitive Ego because the development of an adequate psychic structure was hampered in childhood possibly due to the lack of empathic care of the caretakers, which led to a deficit in the formation of healthy and mature relationships. In this sense, Ken Wilber‘s love relationships are dominated by childish tendencies and narcissistic attitudes related to an immature structure of the Ego as a possible consequence of the lack of empathy on the part of parental figures. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee makes available to the accused all the help he needs in order to be able to heal himself, since Buddhist Spirituality has the capability of guiding Ken Wilber toward the growth of a mature and altruistic psychic structure. Thus, the Ethical Judgment offered is centered on showing that the great pathological Ego of the accused must be urgently replaced by the mature development of the Self capable of establishing healthy and adequate relationships with others. Therefore, it is recorded that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee does not consider Wilber to be ill or lacking in skills, but simply as someone with disorganized resources, as he has not been appropriately guided (neither by his parental figures nor by his masters) to be able to reconstruct the material he already has. This psychological evaluation by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, based on the accused’s backgrounds and the seriousness of symptoms, does not have the Purpose (Dharma) to humiliate him but rather to help him find the Path of Righteousness and Cure (Nirvana) by means of a diagnosis of the causes of his suffering, since the presence of egocentrism and the absence of empathy are leading Wilber through a psychopathological pathway, which is the same pathway followed by those he admired, such as Adi Da, Cohen and other false gurus. Undoubtedly, metapsychological practices, such as Buddhist Psychology and Psychoanalysis, can help the accused to relate to others in a wiser and more compassionate way. Instead of practicing Hindu meditation, which certainly strengthens narcissism, it is recommended that the accused practice Buddhist Meditation and Psychoanalysis.

Thus, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee urges Wilber to initiate a therapeutic process under the guidance of a qualified professional, while simultaneously training properly in Spirituality – not simply reading books – in order to attempt to eradicate the causes of his immoral behavior. Even the great philosopher Aristotle understood that virtue is not acquired by reading books or by being in solitude, but it is acquired through the practice of virtues, deliberating with others about the nature of good. Therefore, Ken Wilber is offered the present Ethical Judgment as a way of Buddhist teaching on Righteous and Adequate Spirituality, which is a practice that the Maitriyana incorporates into the Noble Path of Buddhism. If Wilber is trained under the guidance of a genuine Buddhist master then he will surely have a true understanding of meditation, wisdom, and the ethic of Spirituality. In short, Ken Wilber has much to learn about the implications of Purna (Integral) Buddhism of Maitriyana.

The attitude of Buddhism toward other spiritualities or religions has always been critical tolerance and empathic adaptability, recognizing the supreme human right to freedom of thought and expression. However, being empty of dogmatism does not imply the debauchery of allowing false ideas to be propagated about Buddhist Spirituality, reason by which the spiritual commune (sangha) has corrective and restorative procedures to purify itself from false visions. Even Gautama has repeatedly stated that his teachings must be accepted after a critical examination and never accepted only out of respect for him. This means that Buddhist Spirituality can accept or reject certain types of visions after analyzing them rationally and experimentally. In this sense, in implementing the practice of the adequate understanding or philosophy (samma-ditthi) it is clearly distinguished that Ken Wilber‘s thought is an unfounded faith (amulika saddha) rather than a rational faith (akaravati saddha). Although Buddhism rejects materialism, undoubtedly its pursuit of Truth is closer to the scientific method and farther from the metaphysical method of Wilber.

In the Sandaka Sutta the Buddhist Spirituality establishes the existence of four false pseudo-religions (abrahmacariya-vasa) and also four non-consolatory religions (anassasikam). By stating the need for spirituality to have moral values, freedom, responsibility and non-inevitability of Salvation, it is argued that the four pseudo-religions are materialism, amoral religious philosophy, religious philosophy that denies free will, and metaphysics of deterministic evolution that affirms the inevitability of the Liberation of all beings. In this way, according to Buddhist Spirituality, Ken Wilber‘s model is a pseudorreligion because it supports religious philosophies without any moral, at the same time that it raises the existence of a Spirit that determines the evolution of beings. On the other hand, the four non-consolatory religions, according to Buddhism, are religious philosophy with an omniscient founder, religious philosophy based on revelation, religious philosophy founded on metaphysical speculation, and pragmatic-agnostic religious philosophy. In this way, according to Buddhist Spirituality, the model of Ken Wilber is also a non-consolatory religion because it has speculative arguments and metaphysical foundations, failing to transmit the good life through the Noble Path. Indeed, the fundamental requirement for a Spirituality to have Free and Enlightened Beings (Arhats-Bodhisattvas) is that Spirituality has its basis on the Noble Eightfold Path, as taught by Gautama to the wandering ascetic Subhadda. Ken Wilber not only fails to follow the Noble Eightfold Path, but also fails to Buddhist Spirituality for being an individual who has not abandoned the preconceptions about soul as an aspect of personality. Wilber fails Buddhist Spirituality for being convinced that there is a permanent or firm spirit within the Cosmos. Wilber fails Buddhist Spirituality for not having study and a clear understanding of the Buddha-Dharma-Sangha. Wilber fails Buddhist Spirituality by not following a pure ethical life. Wilber fails Buddhist Spirituality for having behaviors of greed (lobha), hatred (dosa) and ignorance (moha), instead of practicing charity and compassionate wisdom (karuna-prajña). Obviously, greed is not only sensual gratification but also attachment to egocentric goals, such as greed for power, fame and recognition. Wilber fails the Buddhist Spirituality by maintaining eternalist metaphysical ideas that have already been surpassed and transcended by the Middle Way of Gautama two thousand six hundred years ago. Thus, in the Majjhima Nikāya, Gautama taught a Middle Way that abandons the opposite poles of eternalism (sassatavada) and nihilism (ucchedavada), considering that both systems are not faithful to the Truth and do not free people from suffering, but are tied to greed, aversion and unconsciousness. Although Buddhism assumes the integrative and tolerant perspective of inclusivist pluralism, never considering that Truth is achieved through a single tradition, it certainly considers that Spirituality should never have selfish and substantialist tendencies, because otherwise it would lead to narcissism and to prejudice instead of leading to Liberation and Awakening.

Buddhism offers a model of alternative civilization based on pluralism and integration, teaching the power of understanding and cooperation among all nations and religions of the world. In this way, the Maitriyana promotes interspiritual harmony through overcoming the superficial divisions between doctrines and traditions. This means an inclusive, dialectical and reconciling attitude that works for the harmony of all sentient beings, embodying the voice of peace, justice, education and health in society. While Baumann rightly considers that the Globalized and Postmodern Buddhism is the Integrative Buddhism, he is undoubtedly confused when thinking that this integral vision is expressed by the interdenominational Western Buddhism of Govinda and Sangharakshita, or Goldstein’s, who actually propose an eclectic or syncretic Buddhism. This means that modern Buddhism, which eclectically takes elements from different traditions, is not really the Purna (Integral) Buddhism proposed by the Maitriyana, since it should never be confused synthesis with a mere mixture of diverse elements. In addition, the Maitriyana proves to be the broader pathway that exists not only because of its Purna (Integral) Buddhism which performs an intra-spiritual unity among multiple Buddhist schools, but also because it has a model of Super-Integral (Maha-Purna) Buddhism that performs an inter-spiritual unity among multiple spiritual traditions around the world.

From the point of view of Critical Buddhism (Higan Bukkyo), which belongs to Modern Buddhism, it would not hesitate to sentence Ken Wilber‘s pseudo-religious vision as a False Buddhism that returns to the Anti-Buddhist notions of Atman or substantial foundation, which contradicts the notion of the interdependent co-arising defended by Buddhist Spirituality. In addition, the ideas defending the metaphysical substrate of existence tend to be at the service of the authorities in power, rather than trying to liberate people from oppression. In tune with Master Dogen’s critique of Senika’s heresy, denouncing the idea of a Spirit that survives death, the perspective of Critical Buddhism serves to reveal the heretical nature of Wilber‘s substantialist ideas that violate the normative principle of Anatman developed by Gautama. Far from being an evolution of Buddhism, Wilber‘s deceitful ideas attempt to carry out an involution of Buddhism, making it to return to the traditional Hindu source. Hence, postmodernism and Critical Buddhism oppose to Wilber‘s ideas for being anthropocentric and centered on the metaphysics of identity. From Gautama to Maitriyana, all genuine Buddhist masters have rejected the idea of Spirit or eternal supreme substrate that Wilber illegally presents as part of Purna (Integral) Buddhism. In addition, Wilber has ideas that are very close to North American capitalist imperialism, which is ethically inadequate, being opposed to the orientation of social reform proposed by Purna (Integral) Buddhism. Undoubtedly, through Maitriyana, the Purna (Integral) Buddhism works to eradicate war, social injustice, ignorance and pollution, instead of defending metaphysical ideas that are functional to the status quo. Purna (Integral) Buddhism defends the purity of the ideas of Freedom, Equality and Fraternity, recognizing the human and non-human rights, since it is the highest incarnation of fundamental freedoms. Precisely, through commitment to Truth and without any resentment, Purna (Integral) Buddhism criticizes Ken Wilber‘s ideas by declaring them false and full of greed, aversion, and unconsciousness. In contrast, Purna (Integral) Buddhism advocated by Maitriyana is based on non-selfishness and compassionate wisdom (karuna-prajña), being a critical and counter-cultural force in the face of the establishment. Therefore, Purna (Integral) Buddhism declares the absolute illegitimacy of Wilber‘s thought.

In conclusion, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has the Purpose (Dharma) to create an international community purified and guided by Adequate Liberation and Knowledge, which implies criticizing alleged spiritual thinkers and philosophers who fail to develop a Righteous and Adequate Spirituality. Therefore, it is established that Ken Wilber is violating the Buddhist Law and Ethics, especially by breaking the Cultural Heritage of Buddhist Peoples by teaching a manipulated vision of spiritual practices and traditions. In this sense, it is not only recommended that the accused initiates a therapeutic training and training with an appropriate spiritual master, making a self-criticism and publicly apologizing to all those he has attacked during his life, but also he is asked to donate any income he has earned through the distorted dissemination of the cultural heritage of Buddhist Spirituality to charitable organizations. Undoubtedly, those academics who write about Spirituality need to be ethically supervised by spiritual masters in order to avoid manipulations and distortions of ancient traditions, especially when writers often distort sacred knowledge for economic and commercial purposes, for in the capitalist civilization all vulgarization of Spirituality is something that is more successful than the deep knowledge of the traditions of the past. Without an ethical Purpose, writers and scholars who disseminate spiritual knowledge simply become mere superficial self-help experts. Only by practicing the Path of Adequate Spirituality, as prescribed by Buddhist Law, Ken Wilber will be able to effectively teach a genuine knowledge that is capable of assisting the Liberation of all humankind, instead of transmitting distortions and maps of reality which should be discarded like any mandala. In this way, this Case constitutes a great teaching both for the accused and for every thinker who transmits Buddhist spiritual knowledge, proving perfectly that without Meditation, Wisdom and Ethics all knowledge leads to a distorted vision of Spirituality.

Following the Path of Master Gautama, who sowed the foundations of the Adequate Integral Spirituality through the Noble Path, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee supervises that writers and masters of Spirituality are righteous and ethical, never distorting or manipulating the Cultural Heritage of the Buddhist Peoples, so that Ken Wilber has been sentenced as Responsible for Academic Dishonesty, Spiritual Scam and False Buddhism, Violation of Buddhist Law, Crime against Buddhist Cultural Heritage and Violation of Human Rights.

CASE 29-2017: WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC)

Proclamation on Genocide and Islamophobia

October 21, 2017

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights,

Considering that on September 10, 2017 a person called “Priest Mok Tak” who would be the “Buddhist Liaison for WPPAC” allegedly claimed that he and the Myanmar government analyzed the legal actions taken by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee to which he accused of being composed of Members of Islam who opposed to the government of Myanmar and disguised as a Buddhist identity to confuse and disseminate a false public opinion”;

Recalling that this fact represents a constant worsening of the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC) in the field of human rights, because it is not only a new attempt against the Buddhist Law, but is also an act of Islamophobia, accusing the International Buddhist Ethics Committee to be an Islamic organization just because of the fact that the Genocide carried out by the Government of Myanmar against the Rohingya People has been denounced by the Committee;

Aware that this persecutory policy is a similar orientation to that of the Nazi Discourse, which accuses as Zionism to any group or institution that rejects the Holocaust or Genocide suffered by the Jewish People and the Gypsy People during Hitler’s government;

Greatly concerned because this action by the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC) discriminating and attacking human rights defenders seeks to support genocidal activities rather than helping to defend the lives of millions of people being exterminated by the Myanmar government;

Deploring the Complicity of the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC) with respect to crimes against humanity by Myanmar’s civic-military government that is something positioning the WPPAC in clear violation of International Law;

Analyzing that even the UN, through the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), has reported terrible human rights violations, such as torture, massive sexual abuses, forced disappearances and extrajudicial executions of children and babies committed by the Myanmar government against the defenseless civilian population, all of which supports the Judgment of the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights against Myanmar for crimes against humanity, ethnic cleansing and genocide;

Taking into consideration the report called “Countdown to Annihilation: Genocide in Myanmar” by the International State Crime Initiative, where it is described the massive annihilation carried out by the government of Myanmar against the Rohingya people, identifying the government of Myanmar, their security forces and even Buddhist Monks as architects of Genocide, all of which is consistent with the Judgment of the Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights against the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee presided over by Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (WPPAC Peace Prize laureate);

Noting that the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC), by being complicit in the crimes committed by Myanmar and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee against millions of civilians, is participating in a dangerous discourse or narrative of Racism, Xenophobia and Islamophobia;

Bearing in mind that the millions of victims of the Rohingya People massacred by the Myanmar government are accused of terrorism, which is the same accusation the WPPAC has made against the International Buddhist Ethics Committee;

Being appalled due to the fact that the International State Crime Initiative had discovered a 1988 document belonging to the military government of Myanmar where it is detailed the adoption of eleven steps to carry out a “Rohingya Extermination Plan”, which included measures against Rohingya such as the denial of citizenship, restriction of marriages, reduction of population, creation of ghettos, prohibition of university studies, prohibition of participation in government, prohibition of private property, forced conversions and illegal sentences of courts, all of which have been measures of stigmatization and dehumanization supported by false Bhikkhus infiltrated by the military government, as is the case of Ashin Wirathu;

Reaffirming the report of the International State Crime Initiative where it is criticized the fact that there is a genocidal role of Buddhists Bhikkhus controlled by the government of Myanmar, among which Ashin Wirathu and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee presided over by Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa (WPPAC peace prize laureate) are found, being preachers of hatred, apartheid and genocide;

  • Absolute solidarity is expressed to the millions of innocent lives of the Rohingya People who are being systematically and widespreadly annihilated by the illegal government of Myanmar.
  • It is denounced the terrible fact that the Rohingya People have experienced all stages of Genocide, such as decades of persecution, stigmatization, discrimination, dehumanization, violence, social segregation and systematic and widespread violation of human rights in order to cause both its annihilation as the removal of the existence of this group in the collective history of humanity, all of which deeply recalls the Holocaust carried out by Nazism.
  • It is stated that WPPAC should immediately denounce the Myanmar Genocide, failing to provide memberships and peace prizes to those who support or participate in these genocidal activities.
  • WPPAC is again required to annul the Peace Prize awarded to the genocidal criminal Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa.
  • It is stated that people like Ashin Wirathu and Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa are destroying Buddhism by means of the desecration, undermining the dignity and Spirituality of this movement.
  • This Ethical Proclamation is invoked as an act of justice in the face of violations of Buddhist Law and Human Rights carried out by the State of Myanmar and the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee.
  • It is confirmed that in 2015 the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee presided over Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa banned the teaching of Bhikkhu U Pinnyasiha (Shwe Nya Wa Sayadaw) supposedly for “speaking out of line with Buddhist doctrine and not following the instructions of his seniors”, since Bhikkhu U Pinnyasiha had called for peace between Buddhists and Muslims and had criticized the Islamophobic movement of Wirathu.
  • It is agreed with Bhikkhu U Pinnyasiha (Shwe Nya Wa Sayadaw) in the fact that “The way of Buddhism is saving people, helping the people, giving loving kindness to all the people without take into account the skin color or the particular religion of people, just give them loving kindness. People who refuse to give loving kindness to certain sorts of people are going against the way of Buddhism.”
  • It is stated that Mok Tak (Buddhism Liaison for WPPAC) is a false priest.
  • The WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC) is condemned as Responsible for Complicity with Genocide and Islamophobia.

This proclamation is written two thousand six hundred years after the creation of the Buddhist Community.

LEGAL OPINION ON Suzi P. Leggett

CASE 29-2017: WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC)

LEGAL OPINION ON SUZI P. LEGGETT

October 10, 2017

As a result that a WPPAC high-ranking member called Suzi Leggett has recently pronounced Hate Speech against the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, after no public apology from WPPAC President has taken place, it will then be determined whether the submitted facts are an act of perpetuation and deepening of the crimes committed by the WPPAC which have previously been judged by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee.

Description of the Case

On August 21, 2017 the International Buddhist Ethics Committee sentenced the World Peace Prize Awarding Council (WPPAC) for its continued support and ethical endorsement to Wan Ko Yee and Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa by awarding peace prizes to both of them, which constitutes an act of Complicity with Crimes against Peace and Violations against Buddhist Cultural Heritage. While Wan Ko Yee systematically carries out fraudulent acts that usurp Buddhist Cultural Heritage, inventing false acknowledgments and false spiritual biographies for the purpose of selling artworks at millionaire prices, on the other hand, Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa in his role as President of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee has participated in terrible crimes such as CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY AND PEACE, COMPLICITY WITH GENOCIDE and ETHNIC CLEANSING, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF INDIGENOUS AND TRIBAL PEOPLES, VIOLATION OF FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION, VIOLATION OF THE RIGHTS OF WOMEN AND OF THE CHILD, COMPLICITY WITH DISCRIMINATION, OPPRESSION AND ILLEGAL DETENTIONS, and VIOLATION TO THE BUDDHIST LEGAL CODE. A few days after taking knowledge of this Sentence, the President of the World Peace Prize Awarding Council (WPPAC) expressed respect and gratitude to the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, even by offering the possibility that the Committee may operate as an official council to assist the WPPAC. However, WPPAC member, Suzi Leggett, decided to attack the International Buddhist Ethics Committee by means of an official message where she pointed out that the Committee is a scam committing illegal activities, while she stated that the Committee is a terrorist organization that must be persecuted. This constitutes a total aggravation of the crimes previously sentenced by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, totally missing the opportunity for reparation and reconciliation that was provided to WPPAC. With respect to this deepening of the previously sentenced crimes, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee proceeds to issue the following ethical legal Opinion concerning the Responsibility of Suzi Leggett and the WPPAC.

Preliminary Warning

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights (IBEC & BTHR) is committed to evaluating violations of ethics and human rights, so its juridical framework is Buddhist Tribal Law and International Law. These procedures are millennial and intrinsic to the self-government system of the spiritual commune (sangha), although they have the innovation of universal jurisdiction that allows analyzing violations by other communities and countries.

Legal cases carried out by IBEC & BTHR end with a Judgment. However, when there is an aggravation of the sentenced conditions, the Judgment acquires an immediate ethical legitimacy for issuing acts, notifications, resolutions, communiqués and opinions denouncing such aggravations.

Defamation, Discrimination and Ethnocentrism

In order to analyze the existence in this case of an act of Defamation, Discrimination and Ethnocentrism on the part of Suzi Leggett and the WPPAC, it is fundamental to offer the background of the Buddhist Law which is the system attacked by the accused party. While the International Buddhist Ethics Committee was created by means of the Seventh Buddhist Council held in late 2014, it is certainly a milennial legal tradition that is two thousand six hundred years old, maintaining an enormous cultural power in all countries of ancient times where the system of Buddhist Civilization existed. Therefore, in the light of international human rights instruments such as the International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention No. 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Buddhist Peoples actually are both a Tribal Community -because of its communal organization, as well as they are an Indigenous or Original People, because they truly conform a Nation with their own institutions, traditions and practices that precede the existence of modern States. In this sense, when Suzi Leggett and WPPAC claim that the Ethics Committee is a malicious scam, they clearly incur an act of defamation, discrimination and ethnocentrism, a crime against peace, making a false accusation and an attack for reasons of cultural nature which rejects the millennial existence of Buddhist Law.

Threats and Violation of Human Rights

In addition to defaming and discriminating, Suzi P. Leggett and the WPPAC have also stated that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee is a terrorist organization that attempts against social peace, even reaching to the point to threatening the Committee with an alleged investigation by the US Congress, which is a violation of the human right to freedom of expression and of the human right to self-determination of the peoples which, according to International Law, have the right to keep their own native systems of justice. In this sense, it is considered that the threat made by Suzi P. Leggett has violent and fascist connotations, and therefore the International Buddhist Ethics Committee states that WPPAC would be held responsible for any attack that might be received by the members of the Committee.

Corruption, Fraud and Organized Crime

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee has been defamed, discriminated and threatened by WPPAC and Suzi P. Leggett (wife of a US congressman) due to the fact that during the ethical trial there had been proofs suggesting that Wan Ko Yee bought his peace prize through acts of corruption, even investing  the amount of at least USD 120,000 in order to obtain recognition from the US Congress, which has legitimized the false autobiographies and false recognitions through which this scammer -who is sought by Interpol, publicly boasts through fake news in order to make money through the multi-million dollar sale of paintings. The International Buddhist Ethics Committee has been able to begin to discover a criminal plot that starts with Wan Ko Yee creating false autobiographies and by bribing US congressmen to get legal recognition and a peace prize, obtaining a spurious legitimation that deceives customers who buy his paintings, naively believing that they are buying works of art made by a Buddha, when in fact they are being swindled. This plot discovered by the International Buddhist Ethics Committee demonstrates that WPPAC members have been involved in Fraud, Corruption and Organized Crime that violate the Buddhist People’s Cultural Heritage. The fact that Suzi P. Leggett aggressively defends Wan Ko Yee in spite of the Committee’s Judgment would be demonstrating that this WPPAC member is involved in the criminal plot of corruption. For this reason, Suzi P. Leggett and WPPAC have refused to annul the illegal awards they have given, considering that correcting their mistakes would be an irresponsible and scandalous act.

Conclusion

Suzi P. Leggett’s criminal behavior, both for defamating and discriminating as well as being related to acts of corruption and fraud, show that her own peace prize is spurious and illegitimate, showing one more time that WPPAC is unable to give peace prizes, being an incredible thing that this organization lacks appropriate corrective procedures to ensure learning and righteousness. In this sense, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee confirms that any organization that cannot correct its mistakes or sanction criminal behavior of its members will be doomed to fall into organized crime. Therefore, the Spiritual Commune (Sangha) developed the Buddhist Law as a system of purification that ensured learning and righteousness.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee has shown an aggravation in the behavior of the WPPAC. Therefore, as of the deepening of the Judgment for Responsibility in Complicity with Crimes against Peace and Violation of Buddhist Cultural Heritage, this Opinion incorporates the following charges against WPPAC: Defamation, Discrimination and Ethnocentrism; Threats and Violations of Human Rights; Corruption, Fraud and Organized Crime.

In accordance with international Human Rights treaties, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has an absolute duty to enforce the rights to justice and the protection of culture, which are inherent in the human right to peace, which have been violated systematically and in a widespread way by the World Peace Prize Awarding Council (WPPAC).

Ergo, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee rules as follows:

  1. The “Peace Prizes” given to Wan Ko Yee, Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa and Suzi P. Leggett are declared illegal and illegitimate.
  2. It is stated that WPPAC does not respect the human rights and sacredness of the civilization of peace.
  3. All WPPAC members who have not participated in the criminal activities denounced in this Opinion are required to expel members involved in corruption and fraud, which will be a first step towards regaining the ethical purity of the organization.
  4. The WPPAC is required to immediately begin to work properly for World Peace and to promptly respects and comply with the Judgments and Opinions of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee, by putting on record that any violent assault of WPPAC members against Buddhist Peoples will be denounced at the international level.

RESOLUTION on Corruption and Hate Speech

CASE 29-2017: WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL (WPPAC)

RESOLUTION on Corruption and Hate Speech

Dear Rev. Dr. Han Min Sue,

We confirm the receipt of the WPPAC message, deciding to support again the criminal behaviors of Wan Ko Yee and Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, which reaffirms again the charges of Complicity with Violations against the Buddhist Cultural Heritage and Complicity with Crimes against Peace;

We confirm that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights, as evidenced by internal laws, is an International Organization, which means that it is not a state body, being regulated both by the millenary system of Buddhist Law and by the system of International Human Rights Law, especially having indisputable legality from the International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention No. 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, these being international  instruments of which USA is a signatory country;

We confirm that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights is part of the system of tribal governance of the Buddhist Community, just like in the USA there are more than 600 tribes with their respective non-state government systems;

We confirm that the legal system of Buddhist Law is 2600 years old, being the oldest system in the world, so its defense of ethics and peace has legitimacy and legality under International Customary Law, whereas WPPAC has only 28 years of existence as movement;

We confirm that if the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights were regulated by the State then it would be a non-international organization, nor would it be a Buddhist organization, since any genuine government of the Buddhist community should never be attached to any State;

We confirm that the WPPAC is destroying all its ethical legitimacy, for it is supporting criminals, awarding with peace prizes to Wan Ko Yee scams and also rewarding crimes against humanity carried out by Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa;

We confirm that WPPAC, if it is genuinely a peace organization, should not only cancel the prizes awarded to both criminals, but also should not support and denounce the genocide carried out by Myanmar and Aung San Suu Kyi;

We confirm that the fact that Suzi P. Leggett on behalf of WPPAC allegedly has required the US Congress to initiate an investigation against the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights, demonstrates not only the WPPAC‘s decision to break the reconciliatory and cordial bond with our international organization, but it also shows a level of persecution against the individual human right to freedom of expression and the collective human right to self-determination and cultural governance of our Buddhist Community;

We confirm that the decisions of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights are legal within the Buddhist Law, which is a juridical tribal system under the International Labor Organization (ILO) Convention No. 169 on Indigenous and Tribal Peoples and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples;

We confirm that Suzi P. Leggett‘s accusation on behalf of WPPAC when saying that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights is a “scam with malicious motives,” constitutes Hate Speech fraught with discrimination and ethnocentrism, which is a violation of human rights, especially against the human right to peace;

We confirm that the accusation of Suzi P. Leggett on behalf of WPPAC alleging that the Presidency of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights “has no official recognition within Buddhism” is slanderous and defamatory, taking into account the recognition received by the United Buddhist Nations Organization, which is the second largest Buddhist institution in the world;

We confirm that Suzi P. Leggett appears to be unaware that a peace prize has been given to Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa, which makes such award is devoid of internal legitimacy;

We confirm that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights does not want to turn WPPAC into its subsidiary, but rather to teach and correct those who are wrong, which is the mission of every Buddhist master, even though Suzi P. Leggett considers this spiritual education as “immoral and shameful”;

We confirm that all WPPAC members who voted for the award given to Wan Ko Yee  have been deceived on false premises, as this individual has created false autobiographies and false spiritual acknowledgments for the perverse purpose of selling paintings, thus constituting an act of Fraud;

We confirm that San Gabriel Valley Tribune‘s journalists Jason Henry and Steve Scauzillo have publicly stated that when Wan Ko Yee was wanted by Interpol to arrest him his followers spent roughly $120,000 on lobbyists over the past 10 years to get recognition from Congress for him”;

We confirm that it should be demonstrated that Suzi P. Leggett or her congressman husband did not received money from the followers of Wan Ko Yee, since otherwise this would constitute a terrible case of corruption and organized crime;

We confirm that if WPPAC cancels the illegal prizes awarded to Wan Ko Yee and Bhaddanta Kumarabhivamsa this will not prove that they are “a low class and irresponsible organization” as Suzi P. Leggett mistakenly claims, but it will actually demonstrate that WPPAC has self-criticism and humility, not being “a scandal” but rather an act of peace and justice;

We confirm that Suzi P. Leggett‘s message makes a fraudulent and misleading assertion when stating that Wan Ko Yee has “tremendous influence in the field of Buddhism”, thus being a lie the fact that he has acknowledgments of Buddhist lineages and traditions, since he is nothing more than a scammer who violates and usurps the Buddhist Cultural Heritage to earn millions of dollars, which constitutes an unprecedented Fraud in the history of Buddhism;

We confirm that to say that Wan Ko Yee “was supported by 28,000 Buddhist organizations” are fake news as deceitfully stated by Suzi P. Leggett, to whom we publicly challenge to submit evidence of the alleged and non-existent list of 28,000 Buddhist organizations supporting this criminal;

We confirm that what we disclosed regarding this Fraud committed by Wan Ko Yee and supported by Suzi P. Leggett does not constitute an insult to the WPPAC members at all, because it is sincerely aimed at providing aid to your organization, since furthermore only someone who is corrupt and has been bribed with money might feel an act of transmission of Truth as insulting;

We confirm that Suzi P. Leggett‘s statement on behalf of the WPPAC accusing the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights to be engaged in “ideological terrorism (…) and disruption to a peaceful society” is a very dangerous statement, being a serious threat to peace and a violation of human rights, especially during a time when terrorist groups are persecuted and killed internationally;

We affirm that Suzi P. Leggett‘s statement on behalf of WPPAC threatening to take legal action against the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights and accusing this humanitarian organization of Buddhist Law of being “swindlers” is not only a manifestation of violence and hatred, but is also an evidence of fear of the Truth;

We confirm that Suzi P. Leggett‘s statement saying that if the WPPAC annuls the award given to Wan Ko Yee “What would it be like to have 28,000 Buddhist organizations take legal action against [WPPAC]” and that “that will be the end of WPPAC !” is not only an act of corruption and a scandalous lie because these organizations are fictitious, but it is also a threatening act of manipulation against WPPAC’s President, who has publicly thanked the ethical assistance of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights;

We confirm that the whole message of Suzi P. Leggett on behalf of WPPAC, because of its degree of hatred and delusion, does not correspond to the proper ethical behavior that any member of such organization should have, demonstrating once again that WPPAC incorrectly gives peace prizes to people who do not deserve it, since she has received a peace prize as well;

We confirm that it is formally requested that in a term of no more than 5 days the WPPAC publicly apologizes to the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights for the disastrous misconduct of Suzi P. Leggett, who has attempted against the dignity of our Buddhist Community;

We confirm that in case of not receiving appropriate public apologies for the illegal acts of Suzi P. Leggett then new legal charges will be initiated against WPPAC under the legal procedures of Buddhist Law;

We confirm that the International Buddhist Ethics Committee and Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights will not allow criminals to destroy Buddhism, such as swindlers and genocidal people do, because if one were able to lose one’s life for this struggle, one should remember that every Buddha is always willing to self-sacrifice for the sake of Peace, Justice, Truth and Reconciliation, such as Siddhartha Gautama and Jesus of Nazareth did it.

NOTIFICATION on USA SENATE

CASE 29-2017: WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL

NOTIFICATION on USA SENATE

On September 12, 2017, the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights communicates with the US Senate following the news that your institution has awarded prizes to Wan Ko Yee, who calls himself “HH Dorje Chang Buddha III”. It is confirmed that the Ethics Committee has stated that this person is committing scams because he is a False Buddhist who gives himself a high spiritual level in order to profit economically by deceiving dozens of naive persons.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights has declared as illegal the prize awarded by the WORLD PEACE PRIZE AWARDING COUNCIL, which has been deceived when giving a peace prize to this sinister character that violates the Buddhist Cultural Heritage.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights annuls the US Senate Resolution (112th CONGRESS 2d Session S. RES. 614 Celebrating the World Peace Corps Mission and the World Peace Prize) in which the prize given to the scammer Wan Ko Yee (Dorje Chang Buddha III) is celebrated, by falsely claiming that this individual carries out humanitarian activities throughout the world.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights cancels the United States Presidential Gold Award, illegitimately handed over by President George W. Bush’s government to the scammer Wan Ko Yee, citing alleged contributions of this individual to Buddhist Spirituality, to ethics and the USA society.

The International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights not only states that senators who promoted this measure incurred an act of corruption, but it also gives the order to initiate an investigation to former US President George W. Bush.
