Methodology and Fees

METHODOLOGY OF MBU

In MBU there are two possible ways of perform a Course or PhD.
The first possibility is an intensive completely personalized Classroom Training in our humble institution. This option is more intense and the cost includes food and accommodation.
The second possibility is by Distance Education. This mode is fully personalized, so that students receive the study material in their mail along with the assignment of a Tutoring that will accompany them at all times, answering their questions and guiding them through the Evaluation. Regarding the method of Evaluation is a Research Paper with a theme assigned by the Tutoring, based on a bibliography that students must achieve through meditative study. This Research must be submitted with a copy of the bibliography, which is donated to the Library of MBU.
After approving the Course or Ph.D. the student will receive a Certificate with a locally authenticated signature by the School of Notary and an International Legalization through the Hague Apostille.

COSTS

The Costs of Ph.D. Courses are 90 USD per month. But if the student perform an intensive payment, he or she will have 1/4 scholarship: 25% discount on total amount.
MBU is a Non-profitable organization (NPO), so it does not receive economical funds from any government nor does from private sector. Our only source of income is the fees of our students. They allow us to exist and develop our Projects, at the same time their fees help us to pay basic services that our institution uses, such as electricity, heating, telephone, Internet, Books, Transport, Postal Mail, Ink, Stationery Paper, Cleaning, Food, Taxes, Maintenance, etc.. In addition, student fees are used to offer Full Scholarships to Buddhist monks from around the world.
Our School is very poor, thus, for example, at this time a few students are financially contributing with quotas. So we need much help.
Simultaneously, because we are a non-profit institution, surplus income are donated and redistributed to the functioning of other organizations without no source of income, like Zen University, being both institutions completely free for all the people of the world.
Also, MBU is the main economic support of the World Association of Buddhism (WBA), which is an international organization with the Purpose of transforming the history of Spirituality throughout the Earth. If you want to help us, the best way of do it is enrollment in a Course.
