Legal Act on “Ocean of Tranquility” Buddhist Monastery

CASE 33-2017: MRW

Act on “Ocean of Tranquility” Buddhist Monastery

On February 4, 2018, an International Repudiation Act was issued concerning the illegal organization called Océano de la Tranquilidad (Ocean of Tranquility) Buddhist Monastery, due to the fact that this Spanish organization was led by Juan Carlos Aguilar Gómez, a serial killer who fraudulently pretended to be a Buddhist Teacher in the mass media. This murderer raped, tortured and sadistically killed several female victims engaged in prostitution, including dismembering some of them, while leading a martial arts group that transmitted False Buddhism in Spain, even confessing his crimes without repentance, so that he was sentenced by the Spanish justice to 38 years in prison.

Therefore, in this case it is confirmed that there is the same pattern of criminal behavior than that of the Spanish company MRW, pretending to be Buddhist masters with the aim of committing illicit acts. Obviously, the “MRW Case” and the murderous acts of the False Buddhist teacher, Aguilar Gómez, have not been the only similar cases in Spain, since the International Buddhist Ethics Committee has been able to sentence other fake Buddhist teachers in Spain, such as in the “Dokusho Villalba Case” and the “Reiki Jaen Association Case”, thus demonstrating a dangerous cultural pattern that is repeated in said country.

Always with a spirit of reconciliation (maitri),

Master Maitreya Samyaksambuddha

President and Judge of the International Buddhist Ethics Committee & Buddhist Tribunal on Human Rights
